Meet the Board


Chairman - Alan Besley, Secretary - Jill Barker & Treasurer - Leo Treble

Alan Besley - Chairman

Alan has lived in the Kangaroo Flat area for more than 25 years and has served a term as a Ward Councillor for the City of Greater Bendigo.

Was Chairman of the Organising Committee for the 2004 Commonwealth Youth Games and I am a Life Member of the Victoria Police Blue Ribbon Foundation.

Worked in the Radio, Television and Print Media since 1970 and has been the presenter of the Television segment Football Scoreboard since 1981. Always been very active in community work and passionate about seeing the continued growth of the Kangaroo Flat Region.

Member of the Kangaroo Flat Sports Club and keen to see the Kangaroo Flat Community Enterprise achieve some great results that will benefit all members of our community.

Ann Jones - Vice Chairperson

Ann Jones lived around Kangaroo flat and Bendigo for over 43 Years.
Owner operator of small businesses over this time.
Past Councillor for kangaroo Flat for six years.
On the Board of Directors of CVGT Employment and Training Specialists and Kangaroo Flat Community Enterprise.
Vice Chairman of Bendigo Heartbeat and active member of numerous other organisations

Jill Barker - Secretary
Moved to Central Victoria in 1995. Lived in Kangaroo Flat with three children having attended local schools and two grand children. Community involvement in addition to the Enterprise, President Elect for the Rotary Club of Kangaroo Flat and also publishing Flat Matters our local newsletter. Business owner of Ecosmart Solar dealership servicing central Victoria.

Leo Treble - Treasurer

Leo (with wife Narelle) have lived in Kangaroo Flat since 1986, where they have raised a family of three, and been actively involved in the local community. Leo has been self employed as a Public Accountant over that time, and currently is a partner in the Accounting/Financial Planning practice of the Stubberfield Group Bendigo situated in Camp Street, Kangaroo Flat. We have seen a lot of change in Kangaroo Flat over the past 20 years, and our committee represents a great opportunity to continue change, assist areas in need in our community, and enrich the resources of our local community.

Greg McClure

Business Contact Co-ordinator
Greg has lived in for Kanagaroo Flat for 38 years & runs an Electrical Contracting business & Light Store . Greg is married with three children who all attend Big Hill primary school. Greg has played Football & Cricket for Kangaroo Flat & after retiring from those sports ran a Surfboard Business.
In closing Greg is very passionate about Kangaroo Flat & looks forward to developing the surrounding suburbs along with Kangaroo Flat through the Enterprise Groups efforts together with Bendigo Bank & Bendigo Community Telco.

Michael Mulqueen

I have lived in Kangaroo Flat / Big Hill all my Life with my wife and three Kids.

I am the Managing director of Mulqueen Printers a Family Business employing 13 people. I see involvement in this committee as a chance to Develop a new Enthusiasm for the Local area and give a voice to the Residents and Local Groups by supporting Projects that are Important to them.

Geoff Bowyer

Geoff Bowyer is a Director of Beck Legal Bendigo and a proud supporter and resident of Kangaroo Flat. Geoff has been involved in many volunteer community projects ranging from Bendigo Bombers to Bendigo Tennis Association and Loddon Mallee Legal Services. Geoff is keen to see the KFCE act as a catalyst to providing current and future generations with a community which contains infrastructure which meets out community’s diverse needs.
